Freedom of movement mobility rights or the right to travel is a human rights concept encompassing the right of individuals to travel from place to place within the territory of a country and to leave the country and return to it the right includes not only visiting places but changing the place where the individual resides or works. The right to travel the doctrine of the right to travel actually encompasses three separate rights of which two have been notable for the uncertainty of their textual support. The right to travel to go from place to place as the means of transportation permit is a natural right subject to the rights of others and to reasonable regulation under law. One of the freedoms based in the constitution is our freedom of movement and subsequent right to travel some people interpret this right as meaning that they do not need a drivers license to operate a vehicle on public roadways but do state and federal laws agree with that interpretation
